MPD received 1,884 calls in February

Madison Police Department responded to 1,884 calls in February. This is 368 calls less than in January. Since October 2014, the department has received 9,969 calls for service. There were 23 reported felonies, 29 reported misdemeanors and 112 incident reports. Of the 112 incidents reported there were seven burglaries and two drug arrests. The department cleared 11 felonies and 19 misdemeanors. There were 42 warning citations issued. Two criminal citations were issued and 43 non-criminal citations were issued. The department investigated eight traffic accidents.
