The Madison Police Department responded to 1,667 calls in May. There were 46 more calls than in April. Since October 2014, the department has received 14,943 calls for service. There were 21 reported felonies, 27 reported misdemeanors and 116 incidents reports. Of the 116 incidents reported there were eight burglaries, three aggravated assaults, two domestic violence cases, one simple assault and one drug arrest. The department cleared four felonies and 18 misdemeanors. There were 34 warning citations issued. One criminal citation was issued and 39 non-criminal citations were issued. The department investigated 16 traffic accidents.
