Eddie Burnard Burnett was born on Feb. 12, 1964, in Jacksonville, Fla. He was the son of Eddie Burnett and Beatrice McNair-Page. He moved to Madison, Fla., to live with his father during his middle school years, but as a young adult, he decided to reside in Jacksonville. His father preceded him in death.
Celebration of life services, with COVID-19 restrictions, will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, in the sanctuary of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, located at 221 SW Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr., in Madison. Public viewing and visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, 2022 in the chapel of J.P. Moore Mortuary, located at 379 W. Base Street, in Madison, (850) 973-6677. Eddie was a sociable person who never met a stranger; he always found topics of common interest they could discuss. However, he was also comfortable in speaking his mind and sharing his opinion, but only if he needed to do so.
Eddie was a handy man who loved the challenge of putting things together. His other work experience included lawn care service and employment at Hardee’s. He was reliable and efficient in getting jobs done.
During the time away from his jobs, Eddie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. He also looked forward to the exhilaration of riding his motorcycle in the open air.
On Saturday, Aug. 6, Eddie Burnard Burnett was called home to be with the Lord. His life was a blessing; his memory was a treasure. He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
Eddie Burnett’s legacy of life, love and family have been left to his daughters, Tokena (Ricky Jr.) Lee and Ericka (Jeremiah) Burnett, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; mother, Beatrice (Rev. Willis) McNair-Page, of Augusta, Ga.; siblings: William (Elaine) Lindsey, Harold Lindsey, Katrina (Jeff) Wormack, all of Augusta, Ga., Kenneth Lindsey, of Atlanta, Ga. and Angela (Luis) Guerrero, of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; aunt, LeeAnna Jones, of Augusta, Ga.; special friend, Vicki Saintel; dear friend, Patsy Sanders; and a host of other loving relatives and sorrowing friends.
