Mrs. Carol Helen Jacobsen Lundell, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, in the comfort of her own home, in Madison. She was born May 26, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., to her parents, Helen Olivia Petersen and John Arthur Jacobson. She moved to Madison in 1973, from Wauconda, Ill. She devoted her life and career to educating many generations of students. Carol’s favorite past times were watching and reading murder mysteries. She also loved being with her family and adored her sweet pup, Snowy. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Lundell. She is survived by her son, John Lundell (Judy) of Madison; her daughter, Nancy Lundell of Cherry Lake; four grandchildren; Stacey Poppell (Adam), April Brandt (Joshua), Melissa Bitting (John), Garrett Lundell; and one great granddaughter, Penny Bitting. The family will be planning a memorial at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m.
