"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me." ~John 14:1
A lifelong resident of the Madison, Fla. community, Mrs. Willie Marie Cherry Bryant was born on May 17, 1943. Her parents, Willie Cherry and Marie Alexander Cherry, were so excited to have a baby girl that each gave her their first name. This special gesture of love reminded her that she always needed to honor their memory. She was preceded in passing by both parents and her siblings: Jack Cherry, Johnny Cherry, Bobby Cherry, Pearl Cherry and Betty Cherry.

Mrs. Willie Marie attended the public schools of Madison County. Because of her own life experiences, she supported education by encouraging children to learn all they can in school. She was very proud of her grandchildren who recently received their high school diplomas.
Mrs. Bryant was loving, concerned and caring. She became the matriarch of the family, the "go-to" person who took care of everyone. She loved to cook and was pleased to have her family enjoy her labor of love. She looked forward to their sharing food, fellowship and fun times.
Mrs. Bryant loved life itself. For enjoyment, she found her favorite fishing and crabbing locations. She also welcomed challengers to match skills with her in her favorite card games. Most of all, she looked forward to traveling.
Mrs. Willie Marie looked forward to attending many of the churches in the community.
On Monday, Aug. 8, Mrs. Willie Marie Cherry Bryant was called from her labor to reward. "Her battle was fought, and the victory won."
It is hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. Those who cherish her precious memory are her children: Jimmy Bryant, Gabriel Verdell, Johnny (Tracy) Verdell, Kosha Rowe and Yolanda Bryant, all of Madison, Fla.; fiancé, Haywood Moore; brothers, Donald (Shirley) Cherry, of Raiford, Fla. and Ernest (Hattie) Cherry, of Madison, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and sorrowing friends.
