Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. ~Matthew 5:4
Toneika Michelle Footman was born on May 12, 1976, to Wilbert Footman, Sr. and Debra Ling. She grew up with her siblings in the Leon County community during her early years but relocated to Madison County many years ago.

Toneika was educated in the Leon County School District. She later began her employment career and worked in food industries (Dixie Packers, Food Giant, Red Onion Grill, and McDonald’s). She was a dedicated worker with a great work ethic and a great provider for her family.
Earlier in her life, Toneika accepted Christ as her Savior with great joy. The ultimate “joy that she had, the world didn’t give it and the world couldn’t take it away.” Known for her kind and generous spirit, Toneika showed love and expressed her concern for mankind. Her smile warmed the hearts of all she encountered.
Toneika loved her family, with whom she enjoyed spending quality time. She shared a special bond with her daughters, Tsanani and Shiante’, and her granddaughters, but her mother-son relationship with Patrick was beyond compare. Toneika also loved her extended family and looked forward to the good times they shared together as well.
At the end of her busy day, Toneika typically settled down to enjoy reading, listening to music, talking on the phone, or watching her television favorites: “In the Heat of the Night”, “Power”, and any other mysteries.
Toneika Michelle Footman’s legacy of love, goodwill, strength, faith, and most of all, family will be embedded in the hearts of everyone whose lives she impacted. She peacefully entered eternal glory and was ushered into the presence of the Holy Spirit on Friday, June 24, 2022.
