Mt. Olive Baptist Church has called Rev. Will Jacobs to be their pastor. Jacobs will be beginning his ministry with the church on Sunday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m. Van Kelly and Friends will present the special music that morning. During the service, Jacobs will deliver his first message as the pastor of the church.
“My heartthrob is to share the gospel with everyone,” said Jacobs. He feels he was called as a pastor, teacher and evangelist.
“My sincere desire is to get involved in the community and minister to the people as God opens doors,” said Jacobs.
The first community outreach Jacobs has planned is for July 4 as the church celebrates through activities and fellowship that day. He extends an open invitation to everyone to come join the event.
He plans to establish a prayer outreach as well for the community. “I want to reach out to anyone who has a prayer need. They can call me on my cell (912) 614-5292,” said Jacobs.
Congregation members are looking forward to a fruitful ministry under his ministry as God leads them to being messengers of the Gospel through their work in the community.
Following the services, they will have “Dinner on the Ground” with fried chicken, and all the trimmings provided by members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
The church members invite everyone to come and join them as they welcome Jacobs and his wife, Joy, to the church and community. For more information, call (850) 519-1613.
The church is located south of Madison on State Road 53 S. (approximately one mile north of I-10).
