If you’ve ever had a desire to be on stage, have fun, and be part of a quality community production, now is your chance! The Main Street Playhouse and Event Center will hold auditions on Monday, Aug. 22 for the RATT pact’s next production Murder in the Manor. The Playhouse is located at 172 SW Range Avenue, in downtown Madison. Auditions will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The show will run Thursday, Oct. 20 through Saturday, Oct. 22 and everyone will have fun during this dinner mystery which promises lots of laughs. The audience will be involved in the show and the cast will mix with diners during the meal. When the lights go out, Artemus, head of the family publishing business, is found dead with a knife in his back. Everyone is a suspect. Who did it? Reginald, heir to the business? Major, who wrote the company’s bestseller? Alexis, four time widow of husbands who died at the dinner table? The destitute nephew, Bernie, from the mailroom? Or Eileen Morrow, executor/attorney? There will be many tricky twists in the deductive process and the audience will have a tough time guessing who the murderer really is.
The audition process is simple, and there is nothing to prepare in advance or bring to the audition. Many adult roles are available and people will have a chance to try out for several different parts. Come join the fun at the Main Street Playhouse and Event Center.
