National Security: Preserving Black History

February has been designated Black History Month for more than forty years, but the observance has its roots back as far as 1926. Some would argue that, if we’re to have a Black History observance, then why not one for white history? The answer is pretty obvious: white history is well documented while black history is not. To some extent, we’re trying to call attention to a neglected topic. Black history is tough to get our arms around. African-Americans were introduced to the American co
