The 13th annual National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) Hunting Heritage Event for Madison County Chapter is set for Saturday, Feb. 28. The event will take place at the Madison County Central School, located on U.S. Hwy. 90 in Madison. The doors open at 5 p.m. and there will be a silent auction raffles for the attendees to participate in. The program will begin at 6 p.m., with a welcome, tribute to veterans, Pledge of Allegiance and prayer. The seafood buffet will begin after that. After dinner, there will be a live auction and silent auction winners will be announced. This is a family event where children are welcome to attend. A single ticket is $60 and the couple ticket is $100. Jakes tickets are $25 and for those under age six are $15. A sponsor ticket is $275 and sponsor couple tickets are $310. The money from the ticket sales helps the NWTF conserve and enhance critical upland wildlife habitat, create hunters and open across to new acres for outdoor recreation.
