North Florida Community College (NFCC) recently honored its Medical Administrative Specialist Class of 2016 graduates with a pinning and awards ceremony on Thursday, June 16 in the NFCC Student Center. Associate Dean of Economic Development and Technical Programs, David Dunkle, welcomed family and friends to the special occasion. Program alumna Laverne Smith was the guest speaker.
NFCC Dean of Enrollment Services Kay Hogan presented graduates with honor cords; several graduates also received special recognition for their accomplishments throughout the program. Reva Bass and Kimberly Alexander Walker were both awarded the 2016 Clinical Excellence Award; Tina Deming received the Academic Excellence Award; Kayleen Lee, Imelda Mendiola and Katherine Luckette received the Workforce Excellence Award.
In closing remarks, graduates Imelda Mendiola, Tina Deming and Kelsey Solomon recognized their classmates and thanked those who helped them along the way to graduation including a special thanks to instructor Tammy Kemp.
