Madison Fire Rescue received a call of a vehicle fire on Interstate 10 at mile marker 238 around 9 a.m., on Thursday, June 11. When emergency personnel arrived on scene, the vehicle was fully engulfed and the driver was nowhere. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal. Madison Fire Rescue was assisted by New Home Volunteer Fire Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol.
