On Thursday, May 11, the students of New Testament Christian School enjoyed their field day.
Around 11 a.m., the Madison County Sheriff’s Office kicked off the activities with two K-9 deputies who brought their dogs and gave the students a demonstration of how the dogs are trained to protect and serve the community.
At lunch, the students and faculty enjoyed a cookout, followed by some outdoor games and activities.
Games for the afternoon included three-legged races, a jump rope challenge, a balloon toss, an egg relay, a parachute balloon toss, and several other games.
When Principal Justin Riegsecker was asked if he participated in the games, he paused for several seconds before responding, “No… I mainly just took pictures.” He also indicated his pleasure with the older students who stepped up to be sure the younger students were able to participate in the events.
Whether helping or playing, the students enjoyed their day outside having fun.
