Mrs. Billie M. Hart, 86, resident of Gainesville, Florida, former resident of Fernandina Beach and Madison, Florida, died peacefully Tuesday, May 26, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville.
Mrs. Hart was born January 7, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Thomas Judson Morgan and Nettie Mae Wynn. She was raised near Plains, Georgia, received her RN nursing certification from Crawford Long in Atlanta, and married Mr. Robert Harris Hart in 1948, to whom she was married until his death in 2008. Mrs. Hart attended for many years the First United Methodist Church of Madison, Florida, and the First Presbyterian Church in Fernandina Beach. Mrs. Hart, a loving mother, was also preceded in death by one son, Christopher Hart.
Survivors include three sons: Robert (Jennifer) Hart, of Alachua, Gordon (Karen) Hart, of Fernandina Beach and Arthur Hart, of Tallahassee; one sister, Betty Stiles, of Lake City; four grandchildren: Robert, Annie, Phillip and Ed Hart; and one great-granddaughter, Layla Hart.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 1, at 11 a.m., in the First Presbyterian Church of Fernandina Beach, 9 N 6th St, Fernandina Beach, Fl. 32034. A second memorial service and interment will be held in Madison, Florida, on Saturday, June 13 at 2 p.m., at Beggs Funeral Home Madison Chapel.
