Obituary: Charley Isham Latner

Charley Isham Latner, died Friday, August 14, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday, August 22, at Midway Baptist Church with visitation one-hour prior to the service from 10–11 a.m., at the church. He was born in Umatilla, Fl. and lived all his life in Madison. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Van H. Priest Company. He retired from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Frances Latner of 63 years; one son, Bart Latner (Ruth Ann) of Madison; two daughters: Debbie Wetherington (Lester) of Lee and Donna Melgaard (Homer) of Cherry Lake; one sister-in-law, Hazel Latner of Ocala, Fl.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
