Maggie Dean Siplin Demps passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Maggie was born in Madison, Fl. to the late Reverend Capers Siplin and Irene Lane Siplin. She graduated from Madison County Training School and continued her education at FAMU, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Home Economics. She worked in the healthcare industry for 37 years as a Food Service Supervisor, a Clinical Dietician and Diabetes Instructor. Maggie was an active Deaconess at Eastlake Baptist Church and served on the Willing Workers Ministry. She supported various charities and also volunteered at the local soup kitchen. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Perry, Fl. Internment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the Trinity Funeral Home in Perry, Fl. Maggie is survived by her husband, Charles Demps of Detroit, Mich.; three daughters: Angela, Jennifer and Tonai, all of Detroit, Mich.; one brother, Elijah (Loretta); two sisters: Ann (Sammie) and Louise; one sister-in-law, Barbara; one aunt, Lula Spain, 11 brothers-in-law: John, Thomas (Lueva), Jimmie (Delores), Chester (Carolyn), Nute (Terralyn), Harry (Rose Mary), Alexander (Minnie), Joseph, WillieJean (Janet), George (Alfreda) and Herman; and a host of other relatives and friends. Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
