Melissa Locke Goins, age 42, died Monday, July 20, at her home in Lee.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 23 at 7 p.m., at Madison Church of God, Madison, with visitation two hours prior to the service at the church from 5-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 24 at 2 p.m., at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Chiefland, Fl. with burial at Ebenzer Cemetery.
She was born in Gainesville, Florida on July 9, 1973 and was raised in Cross City before moving to Madison. She went to Taylor County Technical School and graduated as a CNA and worked at Lee Elementary School as a school nurse. She also worked at Stacey and Co. as a Hair Stylist. She liked to hunt and fish and loved to talk to people. She was a member of Madison Church of God and their praise team. Kids loved her and she loved people.
She is survived by her husband, Les Goins of Lee; two daughters: Lydia Grace Goins and Addilyn Clare Goins, both of Lee; parents: Louie and Gayle Locke of Chiefland and Dorothy Mae Fleming of Cross City; Grandmother, Thelma McCain of Cedar Key; one brother, Bobby Louie Locke, Jr. of Va.; two sisters: Amanda Ranae Weeks (Mitchell) of Old Town and Krista Locke Coates (Jason) of Chiefland; two nieces and two nephews.
