Obituary: William Lester Ratliff

tWilliam Lester Ratliff, 71, of Greenville, Florida, died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Madison County on October 29, 1943 where he was a lifelong resident of Greenville. Lester was self-employed in the Forestry industry and was in the Marine Corps Reserves. He was a member of the Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 13 years. Lester is survived by his wife of 51 years, Murle Ratliff; two daughters: Nita (Jim) Willoughby and Lisa (Shane) Roland of Greenville; a sister, Rachel (Donnie) Bush also of Greenville; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was predeceased by his parents William Ben and Dorothy King Ratliff. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 23, at Beggs Funeral Home Madison Chapel in Madison, Florida with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, Florida.
