Mrs. Pamela K. Stopko, 65, passed away on Oct. 31, at home surrounded by her family. Pamela was born on July 7, 1952 in Jacksonville, Fl., to Robert Junior Beasley and Alvera Rhoades (Welch).
Stopko was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Stopko worked with medical staffing as a traveling nurse for 30-plus years. She traveled all over the United States, loving and caring for her patients during her nursing career.
Stopko was preceded in death by her father, Robert Junior Beasley.
She is survived by her husband, Mickey Stopko; two sons, John-Jon Stopko of Lee and Rick Rivera (Mary) of Tx.; her mother, Alvera Rhoades of Lee; four siblings: Robert Beasley (Cindy) of Virginia Beach, Va., Traci Beasley of Lee, Fran Tuten (Dean) of Greenville, and Frank Porter (RobbiGail) of Lee; four grandchildren: Brittani Stopko, Savannah Stopko, Hunter Stopko, and Veronica Rivera; and two great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Trent Abbott officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Gideon's International, Macedonia Baptist Church (Building or Cemetery fund), Big Bend Hospice or a charity of your choice. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
