On Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 9 a.m., Lee Elementary School held their Christmas program. Principal Amanda Brown opened the school's Christmas program by greeting the parents in attendance and expressing her excitement and gratitude for being able to have all of the students together for an event and being able to host parents for a program again. COVID-19 restrictions have kept many schools from continuing in-person programs and events, often resorting to live-streaming school functions and concerts in order for parents and family members to be able to see their children. Parents filled the cafeteria to watch the annual Christmas program at Lee Elementary School for the first time in two years because of those pandemic concerns. “We were so excited to be able to open the school to our families for the first time in two years for a school-wide program,” said Brown. “This is our first Christmas program since the beginning of the pandemic, and we were thrilled to see over 200 of our family members in attendance.”
