Chris Peterson is the pastor at Renewed Life Outreach Center in Greenville. He has been a pastor for over four years.
Pastor Peterson and his wife Jerri were both raised in Greenville, so they have a tremendous heart for ministering to the people in their hometown. “Preaching to the lost the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then watching the same power of the Holy Spirit that saved me save them,” is what Peterson says drives him. Another strong motivator and passion for Peterson is “teaching the body of Christ their new identity and getting them delivered from every stronghold of Satan.”
The church is currently leading a “Whole Life Transformation” every Thursday at 7 p.m. This teaching is part of The Daniel Plan whole health program. Church members distribute food every other Thursday at 7 p.m. Pastor Chris and members of the church hold a “Psalms and Prayer” in the Haffye Hays Park every first Tuesday of the month at 5:45 p.m. All of these programs are free of charge.
Special programs and groups within the church include the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU), AWANA (kids’ program), kids’ church, and youth services.
Peterson’s parents are John T. and Mary A. (Carroll) Peterson. His wife, Jerri’s parents are Gerald and Nadean (O’Quinn) Martin. Chris and Jerri have two boys – Micah and Jeremiah.
“We serve the Lord as a family united under one goal – to give The Lord our whole lives,” said Pastor Peterson.
