On Sunday, May 16, Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church held a special baby and child dedication service. Several responsive readings from scripture were led by Deacon John Lundell, each revealing the importance of training children to follow Jesus. After the congregational responses, closing prayers were given from David Sindt, Dewey Jones and Calvin Williams, all deacons of Pine Grove.
Attendance for this special event was wonderful, as a large group of family members and friends were on hand to show their support for the children who will lead the next generation of the church. Children who were dedicated during the service were: Penelope Bitting, daughter of John and Melissa Bitting; Harper Gibson, daughter of Bill and Kelsey Gibson; Logan Jones, son of Chris and Michelle Jones; Lexi Kelley, daughter of Maggie Kelley; Everlee Norman, daughter of Emily Norman; and Liliana Smith, daughter of Jedidiah and Lacey Smith. Each child was given a certificate and a gift at the conclusion of the service, which was followed by lunch and some great fellowship.
