Yolanda Davis is Pinetta Elementary School's new principal for the 2022-2023 school year.
Davis was working at Ken's BBQ when Della Carroll approached her and told her Madison County Central School needed more ESE teachers. Davis started working in ESE and obtained her Education degree. Yolanda has been an assistant principal for approximately 17 years.
Davis’ plans for the 2022-2023 school year are to raise the school grade to at least a B. Pinetta's grade last year was a D. Davis also plans to award students with the Buchanan award.
The Buchanan award is awarded to students who show Mr. Randall's character, always willing to help teachers and classmates, and has a serving heart. Davis will be awarding the Buchanan award every month to two Pinetta students who portray these characteristics. The two students will be awarded on the last Friday of every month.
When asked why she wanted to go into education, Davis stated, "I have always wanted to make a difference in young children's lives."
