On Wednesday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Madison Post Office said thank you to the community with a Customer Appreciation Day. Postmaster Erica Carmichael manned a table full of doughnuts, courtesy of Sunrise Coffee Shop; chips and salsa, courtesy of Rancho Grande; coffee, and a plethora of information and promotional material on the various services and products offered by the United States Postal Service. A large poster displaying the latest stamp collection, dubbed “Delicioso Forever,” was set up, with colorful pictures of tamales, empanadas, chile relleno, and ceviche. The theme of the day revolved around Cinco de Mayo, but also celebrated National Small Business Week. Postmaster Carmichael stated that the Post Office appreciates the community's business.
