It’s time to put on your running shoes and get ready for North Florida Community College’s 2016 Colin P. Kelly Fitness Run. Hosted by the Colin P. Kelly Fitness Center, the run includes two races – a one-mile fun run/walk and a 5K run/walk - for those wishing to compete or to just have fun. The run is set for Saturday, April 16 in conjunction with Madison County’s “Down Home Days” event.
The 5K Run/Walk is open to all ages and begins at 8 a.m. Early registration deadline is Friday, April 8 (by 4 p.m.). Early entry fee is $15. Late registration, after April 8, entry fee is $20.
The one-mile fun run/walk is open to children up to 16 years old and begins at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $6.
On-site registration the day of the race will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Colin P. Kelly Fitness Center. Early packet pick-up for those who pre-register will be held on Friday, April 15 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. in the Colin P. Kelly Fitness Center Multi-Purpose Room.
Registration forms are available on the NFCC website at www.nfcc.edu/fitness-run-2016, at NFCC’s Colin P. Kelly Fitness Center (Bldg. 12) and the Madison County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Office. Registration forms will be accepted until the morning of the race, however event t-shirts will only be available to those who register in advance. Advance registration forms must be received no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, April 8.
Both the one-mile and 5K begin and end at NFCC’s Colin P. Kelly Fitness Center on the NFCC campus in beautiful Madison. Winners will be recognized in various categories.
