Madison Youth Soccer held their season kickoff event on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The turn out was quite large as team sponsors, parents, friends and family showed to support the kids as they played. There was bounce house fun for the kids, as well as a delicious variety of food from Big Dawgs and yummy sno-cones from Kona Ice.
The fun began with reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the National Anthem. Players and sponsors kicked the ball for their teams as a pre-game fun event. Once the games started, it was all smiles from there. The first game of the season started with U13 Total Air Care at Gulf Coast Livestock with a 4-4 tie. Also in the U13 division, Royal Restorations played against Total Air Care and landed a 3-3 tie.
Moving on to the U11 division, Madison Metals took the home field and played against Cucinella's. After a wonderfully played game, the final score was 5-6, with Cucinella's for the win. Taking the home field for the U8 division, Bryan Electric played against Greene Publishing, Inc. Bryan Electric won 4-0. Bryan Electric then moved on to play against We Pack and Mail, who put Bryan Electric to the test. Both teams ended up scoring a 4-4 tie. In the U5 division, was Grumpy's and Briggs-Washington-Thompson Land Survey; Briggs won the game.
