Perdue Foods LLC, recalls chicken nugget products:
Perdue Foods LLC, a Gainesville, Ga. establishment, is recalling approximately 4,530 pounds of chicken nugget products (produced for Applegate Farms) that may be contaminated with extraneous plastic materials, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

8-oz. boxed packages containing approximately 18 pieces of “Applegate Naturals Chicken Nuggets” with the Best Before Date 09/27/2016.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-2617” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail distribution centers in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York and Texas.
The problem was discovered when the establishment received consumer complaints of small, solid, clear plastic inside the Applegate Naturals Chicken Nuggets.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

When available, the retail distribution list(s) will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.

Applesauce pouches recalled:
Applesauce maker GoGo SqueeZ is voluntarily recalling some of its applesauce pouches due to the discovery of food product residue in two product pumps at a plant in Michigan.
The company issued a statement that the pouches did not meet its quality standards but that no illnesses had been reported due to that fact. It is possible that the residue could have gotten pumped out into the pouches but GoGo SqueeZ could not find any evidence of this even after extensive testing. Still, it is recalling the pouches and issuing vouchers to consumers for replacements.
The recall does not include GoGo SqueeZ Organic products or GoGo SqueeZ YogurtZ.
Consumers who have purchased GoGo SqueeZ applesauce pouches with Best Before Dates between 12/4/15 and 3/4/17 can contact the company at 1-844-275-5841 or visit www.voucher.gogosqueez.com to request a replacement voucher.
