Renaming of Brooklyn Street

A street in the City of Madison may be getting a new name, as discussed on Dec. 9 at the Madison City Commission Meeting. Brooklyn St. is up for possibly finding itself a new identity, as there are plans in the work to name it after Dr. Scot and transform it into SW Scot St. Commissioner Judy Townsend opted for the infrastructure under the street to be repaired before a renaming is attempted. Madison County may be asked for assistance in aiding in the repair of Brooklyn St. so that the process to renaming it can begin.
