On Tuesday, March 12, prior to the regular meeting of the Madison City Commission, the City of Madison will be hosting an event to honor Madison’s longest-serving city commissioner, Jim Catron. Catron will be retiring from the city commission after 40 years of service to the City of Madison.
Catron began his four decades of service to Madison in 1978, filling the seat vacated by the retiring Bernard Wilson. Catron held that seat for 20 years.
