The Reverend Dr. Paul Leland, 83, of Tallahassee's Miccosukee Community went Home to be with his Savior on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020. Graveside services will be held on 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24 in Concord Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Tillman Of Tallahassee, (850) 942-1950, and again from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Cross Roads M.B. Church in Greenville, where he pastored. A Leon county native, Reverend Leland had lived in Philadelphia, Pa. where he was a crane operator for many years before retiring and returning to Tallahassee in 1990. He then worked for over 10 years as a bus driver for Leon County Schools. He earned his Doctorate of Ministry degree from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary. He was called to preach in 1989. He leaves his love to his wife, Constance "Connie" Smith Leland; daughters: Dr. Tamecia Scott and Venus (Tony) Pena; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: Judge (Betty) Leland and Reverend Jack Leland, Sr.; sisters: Willie Mae Hall, Gracie and Katie Leland; and a host of other relatives and friends.
