Red ribbons may soon be appearing on doors of businesses and homes around Madison after Little Pines Pediatrics of Monticello initiated the Red Ribbon Mission locally. Heather Plain, of Little Pines in Monticello, found the mission online and thought it would be great to participate in. "Whoever came up with this is a genius. We really need this encouragement right now," said Plain.
The office has a large red ribbon tied to the front door as a reminder of God's faithfulness to protect his people from plagues such as the coronavirus that has swept the world. The ribbons symbolize the blood that the Hebrew captives of Egypt placed over their doors to ward off the angel of death who was sent to punish the Egyptians. All Little Pines Pediatrics locations are participating in the project and businesses and residents in Madison and Monticello are jumping on board to share this message of hope.
In New Testament states, it's the blood of Jesus that saves believers from death. Little Pines is encouraging Christians to join the Red Ribbon Mission in displaying the ribbons as a reminder of the power of the blood of Jesus. Local businesses and residents are encouraged to join this timely endeavor that is spreading this important message throughout the nation. The founders of the project wish to remind everyone that "God is and always will be in control."
