Roberta “Bert” Graves Clark, 76, passed away on May 30, 2021 in Tallhassee, Fla. Roberta was born on Oct. 13, 1944 in Douglas, Ga. to the late Rev. Roy Lee Graves and Rosa Lee Cato Graves.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Clifton “Killer” Clark; brothers, Raymond Graves and Calvin Graves; and sister, Bonnie Raker.
She is survived by her daughters: Melinda (Dale) Williams of Lee, Misty (Brandon) Conrad of Madison; sons: Steven (Susan) Clark of Lee and Michael (Cynthia) Clark of Sebring, Fla.; four grandsons: Jason (Ana), Matthew, Kevin Clark and Bryson Conrad; two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Xander Clark; a special brother, Ronald (Mary) Graves; and many nieces and nephews.
Bert worked various jobs throughout her life. She worked in hospitals, daycares, Madison Academy with the early morning child drop off in the early 90s and she would sit with the elderly and take care of them when she was needed. She had a caring heart for everyone. Bert was an active member of the Madison Church of God where she enjoyed helping baking and selling fruit cakes every year. She enjoyed spending every chance she could with her youngest grandson, Bryson. Her goal was to come home so she could play cars with him.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Madison Church of God with Rev. Marilyn Weeks and Rev. Jason Justus officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in the Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Madison Church of God. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Madison Church of God Family Life Center Building Fund or if she ever sold you a fruit cake, the family asks that you purchase one this year in memory of her.
