Ronald Anthony Thomas, Sr. came into the world on April 16, 1967, to be a blessing to his parents, Edgar Thomas, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Kirkland Thomas, as well as to their household. He grew up in the Madison County community and resided there his entire life. Both parents preceded him in death.

Public viewing and visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, May 13, in the chapel of J.P. Moore Mortuary, 379 W. Base Street, Madison, (850) 973-6677. Earthly bed of slumber: Oakridge No.2 Cemetery, Madison.
Realizing there was a void in his life, Ronald stepped out on faith, confessed his acceptance of Jesus Christ in his heart on Jan. 13, 2013. From that experience, he learned to keep God first in his life and in all things.
Ronald was educated in the Madison County School System but proudly received his high school diploma from Cornerstone Christian School. This accomplishment enabled him to work a variety of jobs and on many levels during his employment career. He was employed as the line supervisor at Smithfield meat processing plant, a sanitation worker, groundskeeper, custodian and a team member at Tom’s potato chip factory, in Perry, Fla.
Ronald was affectionately known as “TT”, by his family and friends. He was the life of the party, the one who always tried out his newest jokes on his willing listeners. During these times, one would always expect him to fondly say, “Try Jesus, not TT”. He loved the good times they all shared, doing yard work and taking care of his dogs.
“A loving one from us is gone. A voice that we love is still. A place is vacant in our hearts; one that can never be filled.” On Friday, May 6, Ronald Anthony “TT” Thomas, Jr. closed his weary eyes for the last time, only to eagerly enter eternal joy.
TT will always be remembered for his everlasting love of family and his entertaining jokes. Those left to forever cherish Ronald’s life, love and legacy are his devoted wife of nearly 25 years, Deirdre Span Thomas; son, Ronald Anthony Thomas, Jr.; daughter, Jasmin McGee; grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Jamyla Edwards (his angel) and Ja’Kayla Johnson; brothers: Edgar (Veronica) Thomas, Jr, Willie (Joanie) Gillyard, Dexter (Latrisha) Lee, Edgar P.
