Pinetta Volunteer Fire Department responded to a RV fire on Friday, May 22 at 12:54 p.m. on Hwy. 145 near Daisy Street. There were no injuries to any of the occupants of the vehicle. The cause of the fire was a blown rear tire that shredded, got hot and ignited underneath and sides of the RV as it was traveling south on Hwy. 145. The fire caused extensive damage to the rear and passenger side of the RV and a leaking LP tank that was dealt with at the scene. Pinetta Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by Madison Fire Rescue and Florida Forest Service because of the additional brush and grass fires caused by the fire.
