Sally Lynn Schoelles, age 63, passed away peacefully at her home in Madison on Saturday, April 29, 2017, after a brief bout with cancer. Born November 3, 1953 to Jackson Lanier Schoelles and Julaine H. Schoelles, Sally worked as a social worker for the State of Florida for 18 years and returned to school at age 42 to become a Registered Nurse. She worked as an RN until her retirement earlier this year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her daughter, Heather Wilson Meyer (Jake); three loving granddaughters, Allie Elizabeth Meyer, Macie Jane Meyer, and Sadie Lou Meyer; one brother, Jackson L. Schoelles (Pam) of Madison; one sister, Laura Schoelles Barstow (Dale) of Tallahassee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and three devoted cats.
Sally loved St. George Island and enjoyed traveling the world. She made many close friends along the way.
All family, friends, and coworkers are encouraged to attend a Celebration of Life at her home in Locust Grove, Madison, on Saturday May 13, between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to Big Bend Hospice and/or the Suwannee Valley Humane Society.
