Samuel (Sam) Hugh Agner, Sr. 82, died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital as a result of an auto accident on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020.
Sam is survived by his spouse of 371/2 years, Janice Drawdy Agner; children: Mary Victoria Yates (Matt), Samuel H. Agner, Jr. (Dinah) and Donald Ray Agner (Rose); stepsons: Mike Wayne Ritchea (Sherri) and Robert Mark Ritchea, Sr. (Bobra); brothers: Rev. Robert Quincy Agner and Walter Parrish Agner; sisters: Shellie Maria Duran and Barbera Joyce Williams (Lewis).
Sam was predeceased by his parents, Willie James Agner and Fannie Lou Pulliam Agner; brothers: Ray Agner, John Penelton Agner, Wesley Cole Agner, Sr., Joe Dean Agner, Sr., Alexander Agner and James Carroll Agner, Sr.; and one sister, Mildred Davis Agner.
Left behind to mourn his loss are all his family, numerous grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and wonderful faithful friends.
Services were arranged by Burns Funeral Home, Madison, 323 SE Lakeshore Dr. on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the funeral service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Barbara Memorial Cemetery, 155 NE Nazarene Church Way, Madison, Fla. Followed by graveside services, all were invited to share a meal in the Barbara Memorial Fellowship Hall.
