The Miss Madison County, Teen Miss Madison County and Baby to Junior pageants were held this past Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Madison County Central School.
The Baby Miss to Junior Miss pageant was kicked off at 10 a.m. as the children and young ladies ages birth to 12 years old took to the stage and competed for the crowns in their respective divisions.
Rileigh Pickles was crowned the Baby Miss Madison County Queen, for ages birth to 11 months of age. Pickles also won all the special awards which were: prettiest smile, prettiest hair, best attire, best stage presence and photogenic.
Audrey Abbott was crowned the new Infant Miss Madison County Queen for ages 12-23 months old. Her court included Maisie Cotrell, first runner up. The special awards were presented as: prettiest smile, Audrey Abbott; prettiest hair, Audrey Abbott; best attire, Maisie Cotrell; best stage presence, Audrey Abbott; and photogenic, Maisie Cotrell.
Emma Gamble was crowned the new 2016 Tiny Miss Madison County Queen, for girls ages 2-3 years old. Her court was: Adalyn Whitfield, first runner up; Cassidy Ballenger, second runner up; and Skylar Chandler, third runner up. The special award winners in that age division were: prettiest smile, Cassidy Ballenger; prettiest hair, Skylar Chandler; best attire, Cassidy Ballenger; best stage presence, Cassidy Ballenger; and photogenic, Skylar Chandler.
Alexa Coe was named the 4-6 year old Little Miss Madison County Queen. Her court included Zaccuria Tillman, first runner up. The special awards were presented as: prettiest smile, Zaccuria Tillman; prettiest hair, Alexa Coe; best attire, Alexa Coe; best stage presence, Zaccuria Tillman; and photogenic, Zaccuria Tillman.
Isabella Jarvis was crowned the Young Miss Madison County Queen for her age division of 7-9 year olds. Her court included Ashton Sapp, first runner up. The special awards were presented as: prettiest smile, Ashton Sapp; prettiest hair, Isabella Jarvis; best attire, Isabella Jarvis; best stage presence, Isabella Jarvis; and photogenic, Ashton Sapp.
Jessica Hasty was crowned the 10-12 Junior Miss Madison County Queen. Her court included Mackenzie Singletary, first runner up. The special awards were presented as: prettiest smile, Mackenzie Singletary; prettiest hair, Mackenzie Singletary; best attire, Jessica Hasty; best stage presence, Jessica Hasty; and photogenic, Jessica Hasty.
Saturday afternoon, at 3 p.m., the Miss and Teen Miss Madison County Pageants got underway. The crowd enjoyed watching an opening number dance to the song of Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend and the competitions of sportswear, casual wear and evening gown.
Savanna Wilford was crowned the new 2016 Teen Miss Madison County. Chosen as her court were: Deja Jones, first runner up; Caitlin Hardin, second runner up; Drista Bailey, third runner up; Hannalie Marler, fourth runner up; and Alexis Braswell, fifth runner up. The special awards of prettiest smile, prettiest hair, best attire and best stage presence went to Savanna Wilford. The photogenic award was presented to Alexis Braswell and the Miss Congeniality award was presented to Hannalie Marler.
Sarah Kauffman was crowned the new 2016 Miss Madison County. Chosen as her court were: Beverly Hernandez, first runner up; Katie Fulford, second runner up; Kendall Hall, third runner up; Alexis Bowen, Miss participation; and Audrey Selph, Miss participation. The special awards were presented to: prettiest smile, Alexis Bowen; prettiest hair, Katie Fulford; best attire, Kendall Hall; best stage presence, Sarah Kauffman; photogenic, Beverly Hernandez; Miss Congeniality, Katie Fulford and Alexis Bowen and best interview, Sarah Kauffman.
