The Madison County School Board held a special meeting on Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m. There were two items on the agenda: guaranteed maximum price for the renovations at the Madison County High School and a staff trip. All State Construction Company presented a contract to the School Board showing the guaranteed maximum price that they may have to pay for the next part of the renovation. The price cannot go over the guaranteed amount. All State will start constructing the required infrastructure during Spring Break, March 16-20. The guaranteed maximum price is $6,233,194. The majority of the money comes from State of Florida PECO Funding with some coming from county taxpayers. The guaranteed maximum price was approved unanimously. The staff trip was for one instructor at the Madison County Central School to attend the Florida Humanities Council program in St. Augustine. This was approved unanimously.
