A fully loaded Dollar General semi trailer caught on fire on Thursday, March 26 at 4:37 a.m., in the Love’s Truck Stop parking lot in Lee. When the driver, Douglas McGuigan was informed of the fire, he unhooked the semi from the trailer. McGuigan reported no injuries. The trailer was completely destroyed. The cause of the fire is unknown. The State Fire Marshal is investigating. Madison Fire Rescue, Lee Volunteer Fire Department, Greenville Volunteer Fire Department, Pinetta Volunteer Fire Department, E.M.S. and Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire.
