On Tuesday, Nov. 16, the Madison County Senior Citizens Council hosted the monthly Business After Hours event, sponsored by the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. The event was an opportunity for many in the community to see and learn about the services offered to Madison County's senior citizens through the Senior Citizens Council. It was also a time of fun and fellowship and an opportunity to visit with others in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Senior Citizens Council offers services to seniors, such as: meals, physical and social activities, energy assistance and many more. Much of the funding for these services comes in the form of grants from various levels of government. The Council also depends on donations from individuals and local service clubs.
