Sergeant Timothy Samuel “McAdoo” McCray, 74, of Madison, Fla., fulfilled his life’s mission and will be rewarded for his perseverance, his integrity, and his good deeds. Therefore, the Lord chose Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, to bring His faithful servant home to earn his eternal rest.
Celebration of life services, with COVID-19 restrictions, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, in the sanctuary of Mt. Zion AME Church, 576 SW Dade Street, in Madison. Public viewing and visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, in the chapel of J.P. Moore Mortuary, 379 W. Base Street, in Madison, (850) 973-6677. Burial with full military honors will take place at 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, on the lawn of Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, in Tallahassee.
Among those who will forever cherish the life, love, and legacy of Brother Timothy Samuel McCray are his devoted children: Timothy L. (Debra) McCray, Carney McCray, and Raquel (Kenneth, Sr.); loving companion, LaKay Evans; brother, Enoch (Patricia) Mobley; sister, Beverly Ann (Charles) Hicks; grandchildren: Tykeem McCray, Keyon McCray, Brooklyn Wingfield, Karysyn McCray, Monica Aikens, Tameka McCray, Kenneth Youngblood, Jr., Kaiya Youngblood, Malcolm (Ahtori) Wingfield and Wade Wingfield; along with many other loving relatives and sorrowing friends.
