Refuge House, Inc. is hosting the 2nd Annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) event on Wednesday, April 1. The Awareness Walk will be at Lanier Field and will be open from 7 a.m. -7 p.m. for you to come by and show your support.
There will be information booths from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. where you will find information, referrals and educational tables provided by community partners and Refuge House, Inc. The booths will be at the County Extension Office, near Lanier Field.
During this time there will be free children activities and games. There will also be free train rides for small children as the weather permits and snow cones, while supplies last.
At 10 a.m. there will be a Wee Waddle and Walk for children to participate. A prize will be given for each pre-school age child (newborn to five years).
The SAAM event will be at Lanier Field located off of NW College Loop, in Madison.
