In honor of Valentine’s Day and Black History month, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting a family seminar entitled, “Refreshing the Family: An African American Perspective” on Feb. 27 and 28 at 6:30 p.m. each night. Monday evening’s seminar will focus on issues pertaining to fatherhood. Topics to be covered will focus on the “fatherhood complex.” Information will be shared to help strengthen the father’s role in the home and family. Tuesday’s program will feature information for the mother. The title for Tuesday evening is “Motherhood Mission.” This session will provide mothers with tools and resources to help them deal with issues within the home. It is the church’s hope to help improve family ties within African American homes. This event is free and open to the public. Childcare will be provided. For more information, call (850) 673 – 9920.
