Shirley Yeager, 71, passed away on Jan. 23, in Lee, Fl. Shirley was born in Live Oak, Fl. to Raymond Jackson and Lillie Mae Adams Jackson.
Mrs. Yeager was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Lee First Baptist Church. She worked with MCEAU Credit Union as a manager for many years. She also worked for Buddy Wyche as a secretary. Shirley enjoyed reading, yard work and gardening.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Jackson and Lillie Mae Adams.
Mrs. Yeager is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Yeager; children, Raymond (Michele) Yeager and Benjamin (Sonya) Yeager; three siblings: Billy (Faye) Jackson, Ramona (Conny) Curl and Andy (Cheryl Ann) Jackson; three grandchildren: Victoria, Elizabeth and Mitchell Yeager; as a well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. at Lee First Baptist Church with Pastor Sammy Hiers and Pastor Dennis Draper officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Lee Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service, on Friday, Jan. 29 at Lee First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gideons International for Bibles. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
