Sister Margaret Elizabeth "MOT" Williams, 60, was called to sing in the heavenly choir early Thursday morning, Nov. 19, 2020. Funeral services are Sunday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m., on the lawn of Mt. Zion House of Prayer, 474 SW Horry Ave., Madison. Viewing and visitation is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Shiloh M.B. Church, 221 SW MLK Jr. Dr., Madison. TILLMAN OF MADISON, a Hall-Moore provider, (850-973-6677) is serving the Williams family.
A lifelong resident of Madison, Fla., Sister Margaret accepted Christ during her early years and as she matured in her faith, she let her life reflect it by her love of mankind, her kindness and generosity and her helpfulness to others. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion House of Prayer in Madison.
Sister Margaret, affectionately known as "Mot," was a homemaker who enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Their forever memories include her watching her favorite westerns, faithfully challenging herself to complete word search puzzles and singing with an uplifted voice.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Leroy Lewis and Mary Williams Andrews; brother, John Lewis; and her special nephews: Racardo Aikens and Daryl McNealy.
Mourning her passing and forever cherishing her memory are sons: Andre Williams and Willie Frank Hicks, Jr., both of Madison; daughter, Renata L. Taylor, Valdosta, Ga.; sisters: Alice (Victor) Oladokum, Washington, D.C.; Mary Williams, Rosa Williams, Vera Williams, Jacqueline Williams, all of Madison and Paris (Marcus) Jones, Greenville, Fla.; brother, Napoleon (Vivian) Williams, Hampton, Ga.; grandchildren: Zoey Taylor, Moesha Caldwell and Makel Hicks; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
