Mrs. Sonya Worley Webb, 72, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, following a brief illness. Sonya was born June 24, 1949, to Alex “A.C.” Worley Jr. and Evelyn Campbell Worley. She was a graduate of Madison High School and earned an Associate Degree from North Florida Junior College. She was of the Baptist faith and a long-time member of Midway Baptist Church, in Lee. Sonya worked as an Attendance Clerk, with the Madison County School System, for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Red Cross, where she served as a shelter manager for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed genealogy research, needlework and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Sonya was preceded in death by her parents, A. C. Jr. and Evelyn Worley.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Arlie Van Webb; two sons: Al Miller, of Perry, Fla.; and Adam Miller, and wife Kim, of Warner Robins, Ga.; a daughter, Amy Webb, of Madison; six grandchildren: Chris, Randi, Kayla, Jared, Alexis and A.J.; one great-granddaughter, Mallory; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Matt Thompson officiating. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
