“[I was] very proud of how my kids never stopped playing hard, even when things were not going our way, that's the sign of a tough minded football team,” Cowboys coach Michael Coe said. Coach Coe added, “We turned the ball over [Friday] night and we haven't done that this year and we will get that fixed this week. I assure you, ball security will be a major focus.”
Players of the Week for the Cowboys were Josiah Mitchell on Offense, Jonathan Alexander on Defense, and Kris Allen on Special Teams.
The next game for the Cowboys will be their first district game of the season. The Cowboys will take on the Bulldogs of Bell High School at Boot Hill Stadium on Friday, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
