St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church continues to keep up the good work on the second Wednesday of each month, as they work to complete numerous missions projects. On Wednesday, May 12, the adults and children continued their combined efforts to complete lots of kites and jump ropes to be used in Christmas shoe boxes marked for Romania.
These projects have been underway for weeks, but they are now ready for packing. The church has a monthly drive for specific shoe box items. Upon collection, those items are packed into boxes as they get another step closer to filling their Christmas blessings for the children of Romania. “Missions Night gives children the opportunity to pour into other people's lives, and it's a great chance for them to share Jesus with other kids,” said Pastor Bryant Thigpen.
The next Missions Night is planned for Wednesday, July 14. The church is located at 5905 NW Lovett Rd, in Greenville.
