Stanley Emmett McClain, Sr., 76, of Madison, Fl. passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 in the comfort of his home with family. Stanley was born in Whitesville, Mo. on July 13, 1940 to Ross and Dollie McClain, who preceded Stanley in death, along with brothers Ronald and Johnie McClain.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He honorably served in the United States Navy. He was a successful entrepreneur in several businesses where he served on state boards and was recognized for his achievements and leadership. Stanley was an investor in real estate and a cattleman for many years, in which time he liked to consider himself retired. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where he donated much of his time.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Judy McClain; his seven children: Christine Griner and late husband Alan, Raymond “Rusty” Kuckleburg, Stanley McClain Jr. and wife Ricki, Sean Kuckleburg, Kevin Kuckleburg and wife Marneile, Susan McClain-Fulmer and husband Joseph, and Megan Talbert and husband James. He also enjoyed 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Bruce McClain and wife Sharon, Michael McClain and wife Abby; and sister, Annett Gutman and husband Mike. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends that dearly loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes Children’s Hospital or the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
