Madison native, Tara Strickland, released a new single, "My Hope," on Friday, Jan.1. Strickland is a contemporary Christian artist who also works full-time as an independent contractor, ER Nurse Practitioner in Jacksonville, Fla.
Strickland's new release was birthed out of the challenges of the pandemic in 2020 and the political strife that has become common in our nation. The song hits the mark set by Strickland, who desired to write something that was uplifting and defining of the hope that we have. "We, as Christians have a foundation to draw from, an unexplainable peace and a hope that is alive in the solitude and the trials," said Strickland.
Inspired by Psalm 33, which extols the majesty and might of the Lord and the fact that He is always worthy of praise, Strickland and her producer sat down and wrote the song on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. Strickland noted that this was the perfect day to write a song that reminds us all to keep our hope in God, no matter what is going on in the world.
So, if you need a ray of sunshine in the midst of whatever darkness you may be walking through, give "My Hope" a listen. The song is streaming on Spotify, Pandora and all streaming platforms. Strickland is also available for concerts and can be contacted through her "Tara Strickland Music" Facebook page.
